The Gratitude Challenge
A few months ago I made the decision to post daily gratitudes on Instagram. It has since been one of the biggest blessings in my life, and I want to share that with my readers. I have asked several people to post three things that they are grateful for on Instagram every day under the tag #dailygratitudes, and now I'm asking you. I want to see how grateful you can be! I promise it is truly one of the most rewarding things you can do for yourself and other people.
It works like this...
Sometimes our days can be hard. So much can change in one moment, and with so much bad in this world it is easy to forget the good and hold onto the negatives. I myself face this everyday. I look at all of the negatives and it tears me apart. I've had days where all I want to do is feel sorry for myself. Daily gratitudes have helped me to get away from that ever present negativity even for just a moment. Any simple gesture or thought can change my entire outlook in life. Daily gratitudes are about finding the light at the end of the tunnel. They are about regaining control of your own happiness. Our attitudes are our own choice, and they are often circumstantial. That is why this exercise works so well. There can be a million bad things pinning me down with thoughts of anger, sadness, and pain, but stopping to remember one good thing from my day can change everything. Good always outweighs the bad.
With all of this being said I challenge you today and everyday to pick out the good in your life and be grateful for it. Post it on social media under the tag #dailygratitudes and share that happiness and grateful attitude with your friends and family. Be the reason that somebody smiles. You may not know it, but your attitude of gratitude could change someones life. I have been told on many occasions how much some person that I don't even know needed to hear what I had to say about gratitude that day. I love hearing that I'm not just helping myself, but rather other people as well. Just three things everyday. It is that easy to change the world.
I'll stop bothering you with my words for now, but don't forget to be grateful...
